Class IV - DALA HORSE (HORSE DRAWING)

Through the years the hand-carved and hand-painted Dala Horse has become a symbol of authentic Swedish handicraft and one of Sweden's most popular souvenirs. The name comes from the horse's home province, Dalarna, in central Sweden. Most popular are the red-orange horses from the little village of Nusnäs near Mora.

Paper Tearing

Fine motor skills are crucial for early learning. There are many fine motor skill activities for kids. Tearing paper is one of the activity for developing fine motor skills. It requires strength of the small muscles in the hand.

When a child tears a piece of paper, they improve hand strength and endurance in the small muscles in the hand. These intrinsic muscles are important in so many fine motor skills, including those important to handwriting and coloring, managing buttons and zippers, manipulating pegs, and more.
Below are pictures of students from Pre School working on their fine motor skills.

Pre School - RED Colour Day

To teach about the symbolism and importance of the colour “Red” to our Pre School children, Red Day was celebrated on 9th May 2022, Monday. Pre school students were asked to dress in red colour on that day. Our teachers also joined the celebration by wearing red coloured dress to school. Students were shown different red coloured things like apple, tomatoes, pomegranate, strawberry, etc.

Students actively participate by discussing different objects near them including their lunch box, water bottle, pencil box, etc. Each of them got an opportunity to speak about their favourite red object. Everyone enjoyed colouring different things of Red colour.
