I have been tossing the idea of blogging my experiences teaching art for quite a while and have finally managed to sit down and do it at last. This blog is intended for anyone who is looking for ideas/inspiration for teaching art for young children. Watching kids create art is the most amazing, rewarding experience! This blog will be a day-to-day (hopefully) account of activities that I am doing and hopefully full of ideas that you can use with kids.

Class 5 Mondrian Art
Students learned about colours and lines through Mondrian Art.
Piet Mondrian was a Dutch painter in the Dutch painter
at the start of the 20th century. In 1920, he set out his position as
an artist with "De Stijl", where he explained that the essence of his
artist ideas and themes, was simple. Painting is composed of colour and line; these
elements must set an example with other forms of art in society,
in order to gain success. He represents in his work, the ideas of unity;
universal beauty.
He was and is still considered the founder of Modern
Art.
